Why hire a wedding planner?

wp_11Many people ask me why they should hire a wedding planner. It’s a fair question since I am in fact, a wedding planner. So I thought I would write a post today as to the purpose of a wedding planner at your big (or small) affair.

 

Planning a fairy tale wedding is probably a dream that you have had since you were in pigtails. You have dreamed of the dress, the cake, the bridesmaids, and the honeymoon. These all seem like pretty simple subjects to address when the time comes to begin planning the big day. Right? Wrong. It quickly becomes too much too handle. How Do Wedding Coordinators Charge for Services?

Wedding coordination fees vary greatly from coordinator to coordinator.

Here are some examples of how coordinators may charge you:

              A percentage of the overall budget.

Fee based on amount of wedding coordinated.

Flat rate for day of services plus 15% of vendor contract costs.

              Fee based on number of guests.

              Flat rate based on amount of work needed.

              Hourly Rate (Often greater than $40 per hour).

    Hiring an events coordinator takes the big chunk of the wedding preparations off your shoulder. Wedding organizers are really great help as they have the expertise and connections. For those couples who do not have any knowledge about organizing, seeking professional help would be very helpful.
