My Beautiful Wedding

When Jason offered to walk Andrea back to her dorm after meeting at a Halloween party during their freshmen year at Pfeiffer University, they knew that it was “it”… and so began their “happily ever after”. When they hired us to come aboard, it was still early in the engagement and we got to know them very well over the course of many, many months. We shared nachos at Moes! and latte’s at Starbucks as we went over linens, colors, menus, music, and so on…. we are so thankful to have been part of their process and wish them well ! Here is their wedding story ….. Jason and Andrea had a very clear vision of what they wanted on their wedding day, a personal, special and intimate celebration.

The flowers, from Flowers By Candlelight , were simple and stunning.

The pure white buds and the flicker of the candles added to the ambiance at their elegant Black & White Affair.

Crystal Gardens is a circular room with the dance floor in the middle of the room below a gorgeous chandelier. Often a setup disaster, Andrea and Jason loved the idea of creating a circle of love to surround them during their ceremony. With guests set up in a circle around the dance floor, there were large groupings of flowers and candlelight to surround the couple.

The Wedding Party

Andrea and Jason had wonderful friends in their wedding party. The ladies wore beautiful dresses in Black & White and were escorted by dapper men in traditional black tuxes. The groom wore a white vest and tie to coordinate with Andrea in her regal dress, made for a party at a castle! A choreographed first dance from the couple, and their entire wedding party, complete with props, got the party jumping right from the start! The wedding party certainly did their job in getting the guests to have a good time, and supporting a couple that they obviously adore.  Watch the video!

And they lived happily ever after … After settling in Durham, NC, the excitement continues for this adorable couple. After graduation, Andrea spent a year working for AmeriCorps and is now a first year law student! Jason is working for a non-profit organization that supports adults with intellectual disabilities.

We wish them the very best of luck and can’t wait to hear what they are up to next!

    – Love the photo of the shoes! It reminds me of a fernid (the groom) who when kneeling at the alter, his “friends” had unknowingly put “HELP ME” on the soles of his shoes I like “I DO” much better:)July 30, 2011 5:15 pm
