Merrymaking Events was lucky to have participated in the 2nd Annual Brides on Tour on Sunday, April 10th. Wow! What an experience! Here are the highlights.
After getting our wonderful group of brides, mothers, grooms and even a dad… the “Lilies” group, we set out to discover Magnolia Manor. I had a large group, but we had fun!
After checking out Magnolia Manor, meeting some great vendors and visiting their beautiful ceremony site, we loaded the bus and headed to Deep River Event Center, where we continued the party on the dance floor. We did some line dancing and ate some AWESOME BBQ sandwiches.
Next was Canterbury School. This is a hidden jewel in Greensboro. Their Gothic style chapel is absolutely stunning, their sunny event room is spacious and their courtyard offers lots of options! There, we had some great shrimp and grits from The Iron Hen and got neck massages … totally awesome.
On our way to our final stop, we stopped into The Secret Tea Room for some ice tea and then it was on to downtown Greensboro where we ended up at The Empire Room. There, we drew door prizes, visited with TriadWedding’s Magazine, got a picture in Shutterbooth… and so much more!
The day was full of intrigued wedding couples who got much of their planning done. In one day, they had the opportunity to meet a ton of the Triad’s wedding Vendors, visit some cool locations and have access to me, a wedding expert, all along the way …. it was a blast! When we were all worn out, we headed back to our starting point to head home, but not before grabbing a SWAG BAG full of freebies and fun stuff!

My sister went and said she had so much fun with you and Lisa! She loved her hand painted wine glass you gave her. I will have to go when I get married!
Sarah, it was such a blast!
