It baffles me every time I experience a rude waitress or an egotistical customer service rep because I can’t see how they are still in business with such a flawed business strategy.
More and more it seems that companies are not concerned with giving exceptional service, especially in the wedding industry. It is a unique industry because it is made up primarily of first-time, non-repeat customers. A wedding is a one-time event and doesn’t have repeat business… so if you’re unhappy with the service on your wedding day, vendors may not necessarily care.
I have an arsenal of stories of vendors who, in my opinion, have chosen to run their business primarily for the money that a wedding can bring in, without any concern for the happiness of the couple and the service they provide that couple on their wedding day. We also have our vendors that we will recommend all day long for going above and beyond for our mutual client.
